Weight Watchers Turkey Chili will convince you that eating healthy can be delicious! It’s chock full of ground turkey, beans, corn, tomatoes and more! You can also make this as spicy or mild as your crew wants it!

What I ❤️ about WW Turkey Chili

I’ve done Weight Watchers a few times and this turkey chili recipe is a go-to staple because it’s got great healthy veggies like onions, peppers, tomatoes plus fiber-filled beans and then the protein you need from ground turkey breast.

WW has changed their plans many times and they have a zero point food list and – depending on your plan – everything on this recipe is ZERO POINTS! Even if you’re on a plan where something is a couple points – it’s still very healthy and a great filling meal!

Weight Watchers Turkey Chili Ingredients

Chili tends to be one of those “dump all the cans together” but I added some fresh veggies for more texture. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1lbfat free ground turkey breast – the key to keeping this super low in points is using fat free turkey breast, you could also use ground chicken breast
  • 1yellow onion, diced
  • 1green pepper,diced
    • Like it spicy? Add some hotter peppers with the green pepper!
  • 1cankidney beansdrained, 15 oz
    • You can also swap out Pinto Beans if you like
  • 1canblack beansdrained, 15 oz
  • 1canfire roasted diced tomatoes – try and get the fire roasted if possible – they taste so much better!
  • 1candiced green chiles,4 oz
  • 1cantomato sauce,8 oz
  • 1tbspminced garlic
  • 1tbspsalt
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1pkgtaco seasoning
    • This has a lot of seasonings in it – so it’s a quick easy solution with a lot of flavor.
    • If you want to make it hotter, feel free to add 2 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp cayenne pepper or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes.
  • 1cancorndrained, 15 oz

  • Add taco seasoning, garlic and salt, stir until all meat is coated
  • Add remaining ingredients and stir.
  • Cook over medium heat, letting simmer for 15 minutes.

Can you freeze this zero point turkey chili?

Yes – you can freeze it! It’s a perfect dish to freeze so you’re not eating chili 4 days in a row!Store leftovers in an airtight container (I like these glass ones) in the fridge for up to a week. You can freeze up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for 1-2 minutes

How many calories are in a bowl of chili with ground turkey?

That varies greatly depending on the ingredients but this Weight Watchers chili has 223 calories.

Can I make this Weight Watchers turkey chili in a slow cooker?

Yes – brown the ground turkey, onion and pepper and then add everything to the slow cooker. Cook on low for 2 hours.

How do you think I would go about making this in the crock pot?

    Reply

  4. Food Hussy says

I would just brown the meat/onion/pepper in a skillet and then throw all the ingredients in the crock pot on low for 4 hours. Thanks for checking it out!

How do you find how many points it is based on your color plan?

    • FoodHussy says

I did this based on the zero points list from the plan before the colors.

  6. FoodHussy says

I was going off the last plan before they changed to "colors"

This is easy and delicious. I forgot to buy taco seasoning, so I substituted a packet of chili seasoning. I’m sure this doesn’t differ much from taco seasoning. Will definitely make this again!

Love this recipe. Very large four portions. I substituted white beans for the kidney beans and left out the green chilies since I don’t like overly spicey foods, and it was perfect. Easy prep and only one pot to wash!

I made this for dinner tonight. It was so good! I didn’t have any chiles so I just added a little chili powder and a little hot sauce. We also aren’t fans on kidney beans in this house so we just had the black beans in it. We loved it and will definitely be making it again!

Does it really take a tablespoon of salt?

    Reply

    • FoodHussy says

i like a lot of salt and there’s so many ingredients – it can take a lot for seasoning. that said – go with less to start if you like and then add more after you taste it!

Sooo good! I used a poblano pepper instead of green pepper, pinto instead of black beans because that’s what I had on hand and added some Chili powder to taste
